13 02 2012 Mexico wind power 2012. Fact-finding in Mexico, 13-16 February 2012
Be part of the beginning when Denmark enters the Mexican wind energy market. You will have the opportunity to:
- Access high level consultations with political decision makers, potential investors, and business partners.
- Attend technical workshops.
- Discuss business opportunities 1:1 with investors and potential business partners.
- Attend the GWEC Mexico Wind Power 2012 conference.
- Visit Mexico’s largest wind park with Mexican decision-makers.
Mexico is making substantial investments in wind energy. Mexico will increase its investment in land windmills from 515MW to about 2,5GW by the end of 2012, and the goal is to reach an installed capacity of up to 10 GW by the end of 2020. While the Mexicans have ambitious expectations for the future, they are aware of their need for the necessary expertise within public policies, planning, handling and financing of wind energy. Therefore, Denmark enters as a knowledge partner to assist Mexico’s wind energy growth.
The visit will take place from 13 – 16 February 2012. It will combine fact-finding with promotion of the Danish model and core competences towards the Mexican public and private decision-makers, thereby establishing relevant commercial contacts for your company.
During a one-day program with high-level round-tables, workshops, b2b meetings and a networking reception with a broad range of Mexican wind energy stake-holders, companies will get the opportunity present themselves to the main interlocutors.
In addition, the Embassy will assist participating companies in setting up 1:1 meetings with investors and potential business partners. Furthermore, participants will have the option of visiting the GWEC “Mexico Wind Power 2012” conference. A revisit by a Mexican delegation in connection with the EWEA conference in Copenhagen in April is programmed, giving you the possibility of continuing your dialogue with Mexican stakeholders.
